ROSL supports a number of scholarships and residencies for young Commonwealth musicians and visual artists. We work with institutions to provide the opportunity to travel and learn with some of the top practitioners in their respective fields, as well providing opportunities to perform or exhibit in concert venues and galleries around the UK.

ROSL Pettman Scholarships are designed to directly assist future study and career opportunities for emerging NZ musicians showing exceptional career promise. From 2023, recipients of the recently redesigned ROSL Pettman Scholarship will be selected from the pool of AWE Emerging Artists. Selection will be based on the quality of AWE Emerging Artist performances and participation within the AWE Festival.

The ROSL International Residency with The Art House in Wakefield provide the opportunity for two visual artists to visit the UK for two months and dedicate time to their practices while networking across the country.

2018 ROSL International Residents Joey Chin and Buhle Wonder Mbambo installed work at The Art House in Wakefield.
