If you are thinking of joining, or perhaps you are already a member and would like to recommend a friend, just follow these simple steps to make an application.
Download an application pack and if you know an existing member ask them to propose you. This then needs to be seconded by a person of recognised standing (a doctor, solicitor etc).
Alternatively you may belong to one of our affiliated organisations and societies, in which case you can join without a proposer or seconder. You also get 25% off the entrance fee. A full list of our partnership organisations can be viewed here, they include:
|Friends of the Royal Academy||National Trust for Scotland||BMA|
|Friends of Covent Garden||NADFAS (The Arts Society)||Law Society|
Each member pays an individual membership fee - upholding our long-standing tradition - but only one joining fee is paid per household. So whether you are joining your partner or your whole family, you can enjoy a significant discount on application.
Companies and charities can become corporate members when four or more named employees join. To enjoy a discount on the entrance fee all employees must be registered at the same work address, but each applicant must complete a form.
Individuals resident outside of the UK can apply as an Overseas Member. Please note residents outside of the Commonwealth are not entitled to vote at AGMs. Residents in Australia and New Zealand should join via their nearest ROSL branch.
Individuals between 17 and 30 benefit from discounted subscription rates and do not have to pay an entrance fee. ROSL Younger Members also enjoy an active programme of events and networking opportunities designed just for them.
