Sarah Poots, Forever Frame (II) (2021), oil on canvas, 45 x 30cm
ROSL ARTS is pleased to present a series of recent paintings by Irish artist Sarah Poots. The paintings on display take objects and surfaces from everyday archaeologies to play with placement, arrangement and order.
“These works play with the grid, the broken shapes of an object in shallow space, that drive us to reimagine the object in its original three-dimensional form, in a continuing making and unmaking loop. Apparently simple and serious, the works, on looking, reverberate with multiple references and often unexpected humour’’
Eliza Bonham Carter, RA Schools Curator
Sarah Poots, Mishap (2021), oil on canvas, 30 x 25cm
