As well as our rolling programme of exhibitions in the Central Lounge of Over-Seas House, London, we also host longer term exhibitions of art in our Edwardian dining room. In this unique space overlooking Green Park we present a small number of works, all of which are available for purchase.

Current Brabourne exhibition:

Jane Ward and Connor Coulston

Through the mediums of clay, glass and objects, Connor Coulston’s work is retrospective and explorative of his relationship with a constant throughout his childhood, his Nan’s fireplace. The recreation of objects owned by his Nan produces a parody of the original inspiration and has come to include elements of Coulston’s personality. The outcome is humorous and sentimental, intending to excite and ignite nostalgic childhood memories of his audience.

The meticulously constructed works that Jane Ward creates employ the artists' own digital photographs repeatedly broken down and collaged, creating images of imaginary, fragmentary, and transient land and cityscapes. Fragments of ink are dissolved by hand, leaving traces of earlier forms and injecting the passage of time via the serene colours of Ward's landscape photographs and the minuscule details that feature foliage, high rise buildings, and flecks of the city.
