The first event for members in Switzerland was held at the Lausanne Hotel School in 1992; and the Switzerland branch was subsequently formed in 1993. It continues to hold annual dinners at the hotel school attracting a host of personalities as guest speakers.

We have friendly links with Switzerland-based clubs and occasionally hold joint events such as the lunch organised with the British Swiss Chamber of Commerce, at which members met Kamalesh Sharma, Secretary- General of the Commonwealth. In the Jubilee year, member Dr Alan Chalmers and the British Resident’s Association arranged a cruise on the Rhine, at which General Porter was a Guest of Honour.

Members can keep in touch with all the latest branch and club news through the quarterly Overseas Journal.
