Having chosen our four soloists for the Annual Music Competition Gold Medal Final, last night was the first of two ensemble rounds, where teamwork of the highest order was on display for the adjudicators and audience gathered in the Princess Alexandra Hall.

We may have our four solo finalists for this year's Annual Music Competition, but there's still plenty to play for when it comes to ensembles. Over the next two weeks, it's the opportunity for young musicians to put their teamwork on display as we host two ensembles Section Finals, each with the opportunity to win £10,000.

Join us on 11 November for the Chairman's Dinner, an evening showcasing the best of ROSL.

Last night's Strings Section Final was the last chance this year for our talented soloist competitors to make it through to the AMC Gold Medal Final, and the four musicians competing didn't disappoint!

Yesterday evening, the Keyboard Section Final took place in the Princess Alexandra Hall, in which four talented young musicians competed for the penultimate spot in this year's AMC Gold Medal Final.

In celebration of the new issue of Overseas, which is themed around craftsmanship, we are showing other ways to get involved in crafts. The Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST) is holding a Craft Trail in the first week of October just a stone's throw from the clubhouse, where you can see firsthand what goes into a huge variety of different crafts.

This year's ROSL Christmas cards feature a specially-commissioned cover of our Patron HM The Queen by artist Anna Rumsby, entitled A Winter Walk with Corgis.

Last night saw the second of this year's Annual Music Competition Section Finals, with soprano Milly Forrest becoming the second soloist to make it through to the Gold Medal Final.

Long sought after by members, we are pleased to announce that you can now access and use the gym at Nordic Balance, located less than 10 minutes away from the club.

It may seem that last year's Annual Music Competition (AMC) has only just finished, but we're already underway with the 2021 edition. Last night, four soloists took to the Princess Alexandra Hall stage for the Wind & Brass Section Final, to find out who would take the first of four spots at the Gold Medal Final.
