In September, ROSL welcomed Cole Ndelu and Dimple Shah to the UK for our ROSL International Residency with The Art House in Wakefield. On 11 October, Cole and Dimple presented work at Manchester Contemporary art fair, sharing their brilliant work and spreading the word about ROSL over the weekend.

Cole is a South African photographer who has spent her time in the UK photographing and developing work across different media. She presented three striking portraits from her series exploring femininity.

Dimple is a performance artist and printmaker from India and has spent her time in the print studio and thoroughly researching Wakefield and its histories, particularly linked to the stories and applications of the local plants. Dimple shared delicate prints at the art fair, also presenting a performance where visitors were invited to interact with the artist.

Great ambassadors of the creative work we do at ROSL, both artists spoke to visitors, sharing their practice and information about the residency. We are looking forward to celebrating the work of Cole and Dimple once again with an end-of-residency event and exhibition on 30 October, 6pm at The Art House in Wakefield.
