Last night saw the launch of ROSL's latest exhibition, Drawn to Architecture, which sees 11 artists displayed around the clubhouse, who work in a range of media, but all who take architecture as their subject.

As art aficionados gathered in the Central Lounge, they had the opportunity to speak to many of the exhibiting artists, ROSL ARTS staff, including curator Eilidh McCormick, and find out more about the works on display.

Celebrating a century since the birth of the Bauhaus school of art, this exhibition is designed to examine the intersection between art and architecture. In the act of recording these buildings and urban environments, which started out life as architectural sketches, each building comes full circle.

Several artists have also chosen the same buildings as their subjects, with London icons such as the Trellick Tower and Barbican appearing more than once throughout the exhibition. It is fascinating to see how each artist has approached these buildings in their own unique style.

Take a look below at some of the photos from the evening. Don't worry if you weren't able to make it last night, the exhibition will run until 1 December 2019, so there is still plenty of opportunity to see it. You can also see a full list of works on display online here, and find out more about each artist here.
