Last night saw the Princess Alexandra Hall fill with new and prospective members as they gathered to sample all the benefits their membership brings.

Representatives from ROSL ARTS, our humanitarian projects, our accommodation, Grayson's food and drink, the membership team, the Younger Member Committee, our branches, the London Group, member-led events, as well as our affinity partners such as Davy's Wine and HMCA, were all hand to talk about the many aspects of life as a part of ROSL. Attendees were also able to tour the clubhouse and find out a little about the history of Over-Seas House.

Director-General Diana Owen welcomed everyone to the reception, and explained the value of membership at ROSL; many join for more than just the fantastic clubhouse facilities, but also to support the education projects we fund throughout the Commonwealth, and the young artists and musicians early in their careers.

Which segued beautifully into a performance from two ROSL prizewinners; Benson Wilson baritone, winner of the Overseas Award at this year's Annual Music Competition AMC; and Chad Vindin piano, Accompanist Prize winner at the 2016 AMC, who treated the audience to a programme of Schubert and Donizetti.

After their performance, attendees were able to continue to chat over a glass of wine, with the Younger Members holding informal drinks in the Duke of York Bar. Thank you to everyone who came along and we look forward to seeing you in the club again soon.

Don't worry if you were not able to attend last night, we will be holding our next New Member Reception in October. Look out for more details here.
