We are sad to share the news of Madiha Aijaz’s passing over the weekend.
From Karachi in Pakistan, Madiha was one of ROSL's 2017 Visual art scholars with Hospitalfield, Liverpool Biennial and Open Eye Gallery. She also exhibited her work with the Tetley in Leeds among many other successes. A photographer, filmmaker and assistant professor at Karachi’s prestigious Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, she was knowledgeable, talented and respected in her field. Beyond her work Madiha was an inspiration to all those she met, her kindness and positive energy will be sorely missed, and we are grateful to have had the chance to work with her. Our thoughts go out to her family and friends in this difficult time.
