ROSL will play host to the 'Unremembered' Wreaths on Sunday 11 November, as part of a project which aims to commemorate the contribution of the Labour Corps to the war effort.
The corps, which supplied the army with weapons, ammunition, food, water and fuel at the Front, were essential to the war.
As the death toll rose throughout the First World War, particularly after the Battle of the Somme in 1916, the government recruited men from across the Empire to help supply the troops, often is perilous conditions.
While the soldiers are rightly vaunted for their brave sacrifices, the members of the Labour Corps are all but forgotten, they are the Unremembered.
To rectify this, Big Ideas has asked community groups from across the country to create Unremembered wreaths, which were presented during this year's Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in April.
Approximately 90 wreaths will be in the Princess Alexandra Hall on the morning of Sunday 11 November, from where each community group will collect their wreath to then lay it as part of the people's procession.
