October brings international art to London with an influx of Art Fairs and an eruption of creativity across the city. The charge of the fairs is led by Frieze and every city gallery is putting their best foot forward with impressive new exhibitions and events to lure in the visiting art world. We have listed the fairs that are only on for a short time this week so plan your visit and get inspired.

Frieze Art Fair and Frieze Masters

In two grand tents in Regents Park you will find Frieze Art Fair and Frieze Masters. A short walk from each other, the former presents the international contemporary art world while Masters presents the historical context through which this work has come to be. There is so much to see in the tents alone, but don’t forget about the amazing talk programme, have a look on the website to plan your visit.

The Other Art Fair

Presented by Saatchi Art, this is the 30th edition of the fair which gives visitors the opportunity to buy art directly from the very best emerging artistic talent and not through galleries. Focusing on the emerging, this fair is always energetic, and will this year be presenting 140 artists over four days, as well as launching a second site just across the road. This is a great fair for those starting a collection and those who like to meet the makers of the work they buy.

The fair is dedicated to contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora and the title refers to the 54 countries that make up the African continent. Founded in 2013, this is a young fair, but it already has a significant international following and is certainly bringing some very different art and artists into focus on the international art scene. As well as the galleries, look out for the special projects taking place over the four busy days.
