Many aspects of Over-Seas House have seen several iterations over the years, none moreso than the art adorning our walls. As part of ROSL ARTS' programme of rolling exhibitions, the artwork in the Central Lounge, Duke of York Bar, Gibbs staircase, and dotted elsewhere in the clubhouse, is currently changing from the hugely successful to Edit, Adapt, Evolve exhibition to a new exhibition themed around memory, in partnership with the Printmakers Council.
The artist run, non-profit organisation, is working with ROSL to present a group show, featuring a variety of work in print, which will be accompanied by the work of a young ceramicist, Connor Coulston. Coulston has created an entire body of work exploring his nan’s fireplace and his work has a sense of humour while intending to excite and ignite nostalgic childhood memories from the viewer. His work is a demonstration of how the theme of memory may be interpreted in any way and we look forward to showing you, the members, how all the works in the exhibition dwell on the theme of memory, all of which have been chosen from members of the Printmakers Council especially to be hung at Over-Seas House.
