Eid Mubarak to all our Muslim members and friends around the world. With the end of Ramadan and the 30 days of fasting, today Muslims will be celebrating Eid al-Fitr, or breaking the fast.

The month-long fast during daylight hours is broken with a feast and prayers today, a practice first celebrated by Muhammed in 624CE. If you're in London next weekend, why not join in the celebrations? Thousands will be flocking to Trafalgar Square, where London Mayor Sadiq Khan will be hosting an Eid celebration on Saturday 23 June.

Taking place 12-6pm and free to attend, the stage will host a number of performers from around the world, hosted by presenter Sameena Ali-Khan and journalist Remona Aly. The entertainment includes Mariah Idrissi, the first hijab-wearing model to feature in an international campaign for H&M; Simona Abdallah, a Palestinian-born German Darbuka player; Al-Sadiq and Al-Zahra School Chor from the London Borough of Brent; Pearls of Islam, pioneers of the Muslim female artists scene; Voice of Peace Children's Choir; and Native Sun, made up of rapper Mohammed Yahya from Mozambique, and singer/songwriters Sarina Leah from London.

You will also be spoilt for choice when it comes to refreshments, with stalls from Bamboo House, Bombay Street Food, Nusa Dua, and The Cane Press, among others.
