The Annual Music Competition has been a part of the ROSL calendar for more than 65 years, growing in scope and stature to become world renowned for the quality of young musicians it attracts and the long-standing relationship it builds with its alumni, helping musicians to build their careers in classical music long after they have competed.

With this year's Gold Medal Final, taking place at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank Centre, on Monday 4 June, now only a couple of week's away, we spoke to some previous winners to find out what the AMC means to them.

Not just a brilliant opportunity to earn £15,000 in Gold Medal prize money, it also offers the chance meet like-minded young musicians from all over the Commonwealth, plus the chance to start a relationship with the ROSL ARTS family that can last for years, if not decades, that provides mentoring, performance opportunities, and travel around the world.

ROSL members are crucial to the ongoing success of the competition, as your support at Section Finals and the Gold Medal Final is what makes it all happen. Watch the video below and book your tickets for this year's Gold Medal final here
