Tuesday evening will see our Annual Music Competition (AMC) return to the Princess Alexandra Hall with the first of our Section Finals, for Wind and Brass. Now in its 66th year, the AMC will see some of the best talent from young musicians around the Commonwealth compete for our Gold Medal prize. This is your opportunity to see the ROSL AMC 2018 winner first and get a glimpse into the fantastic future stars of the classical music world.

Tuesday night marks the first public performances of this year's entrants, but preliminary rounds have already been underway since the end of 2017. In fact, 40 hours of audition tapes have already been submitted and reviewed, of which 73 musicians have moved on to the Semi-Finals. The Section-Finals starting on Tuesday will see these whittled down even further.

Did you know that total prize money due to be awarded this year is £76,500. The total number of adjudicators across the auditions, Semi-Finals, Section Finals and Grand Final is 28.

The Section Finals run every Tuesday from 13 February until 20 March, starting at 7pm, culminating with our Overseas Final on Thursday 22 March. Concerts all take place in the Princess Alexandra Hall at Over-Seas House, London, and include a wine reception during judge’s deliberation. Book your tickets here or call us on 020 7408 0214 ext.219.
