I know it's only October, but many of you will already be thinking about planning your Christmas break and luckily, ROSL has plenty to keep you occupied over the festive period.

As well as a number of packages open to those wanting to dine and stay at the Edinburgh or London clubhouses over Christmas and New Year, we also have a fantastic line up of events to get you full of festive cheer.

ROSL’s Christmas celebrations wouldn’t be complete without our annual Christmas service, dubbed the Festival of Carols on Sunday 10 December. This year, enjoy performances by ROSL ARTS musicians and the wonderful ROSL Christmas choir during our festive service at our parish church, St George's, in Hanover Square. Members are then invited back to the clubhouse for a delicious Christmas afternoon tea in the Hall of India and Pakistan.

For younger members, we will be holding a drinks reception on Tuesday 12 December, where you can get your fill of mulled wine and mince pies in the Duke of York Bar. This will be followed by the Christmas Quiz that same evening, open to all members and their guests, where you can test your knowledge of It's a Wonderful Life and the names of all of Santa's reindeer.

After a little too much enjoying yourself on Christmas Day, you might be looking to work some of those calories off on Boxing Day. Join us for a literature themed walking tour. Starting at the London clubhouse, join fellow members in a walk that encompasses St James’s Place, St James’s Street, King Street, Pall Mall, St James’s Square and Piccadilly and discover the connections with some of Britain’s most famous writers with the local clubs, hotels and shops.

To find out more about all these events, visit the events section of the ROSL website.
