Mrs Marjorie Harvey, former Honorary Secretary of the Bournemouth and District Branch of the Royal Over-Seas League, has died peacefully aged 98.
She held the post of Secretary of the Bournemouth and District Branch of the Royal Over-Seas League for some 26 years until her retirement in 2009. She was appointed in 1983 following the death of Irene Wood who had been Secretary of the Branch since 1968.
She was an indefatigable presence over the time that she held her post performing her many duties with distinction and will be greatly missed by all her friends at the Branch and those who knew her at Over-Seas House.
