Members gathered in the garden on Friday evening for our penultimate Indian Independence themed event – the summer wine tasting.

Throughout the night guests tasted a range of white wines from Château Guiraud, presented by Sophie Balanger, and a series of reds from Davy’s presented by Martin Everett. The aim of the evening was to demonstrate how well wines went with Indian food, with varying degrees of spice. From the more dry and full bodied reds, to the indulgent sweet whites, it was surprising to find how the range of wines lent itself well to Indian spiced nibbles.

Check out some of the photos from the evening and if you'd like to be involved in the next wine tasting event, a medieval walking wine tour of London will be taking place on Saturday 19 August. For more information, head to the events section of the ROSL website.
