ROSL New Zealand Branch Director Lyn Milne attended the Wanaka Travel Club with fellow members this week and spoke about the club and its commitment to the arts and humanitarian projects.

Travel Clubs began in New Zealand in 1933 as a way of members sharing their overseas experiences. Today these clubs still thrive and the Wanaka Travel Club attracts around 70 members on a monthly basis. As NZ Director of ROSL, Lyn presented a slideshow of the London and Edinburgh clubhouses and members were told of ROSL's extensive music, art, literature and humanitarian projects around the world. The attractive accommodation in London and Edinburgh was also of great interest to the group, many of whom travel frequently. Lyn's canal boating in France also featured with an overview of how the 7,000 km canal system, different lock procedures and the joys of meandering at 8 kmh through the vast countryside of France.

This kind of longstanding support from ROSL members helps the branch network to thrive. To get involved in your local branch, visit the ROSL website, or contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
