As June draws ever closer, are you beginning to wonder how to whittle away all those long days and warm evenings? Well here at the Royal Over-Seas League we have the answer. Our calendar is simply bursting with events, from our Annual Music Competition Grand Final and Indian Summer Ball, to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Battlefield Tour. We have something for everyone to enjoy this summer and the best news is, is that all of our events up until Friday 1 September are now open for bookings.

Our celebrations for the 70th anniversary of India’s Independence run throughout summer, starting with our fantastic East Meets West Indian Summer Ball. Uncover the story of India with our host of entertainment from folklore storytelling, to classical Indian music from Jonathan Mayer, and of course our fantastic Bollywood dancers:

Our other Indian themed events include a classical Indian music concert, an inspired summer wine tasting, and a lecture series exploring the history and politics of this fascinating country.

As the good weather hopefully returns to us here in the UK, so do some of our classic club events such the Evelyn Wrench Lecture Series which will analyse Trump’s first 100 days in office and his Post-Truth presidency.  Our second Dinner in the Tower is taking place in August, the last one with Roddy, and to send him off in the right manner we’ve included a private viewing of the crown jewels for members. Then there is of course the Edinburgh Fringe; two weeks packed full of ROSL Arts musical performances.

With still so many other events like our new art exhibition, medieval wine tour, and our bespoke performance of Much Ado About Nothing, it is probably best for you to explore the events section of our website at your own leisure to see all we have on offer at ROSL this summer.
