To coincide with the new edition Overseaswhich is due out next week and takes architecture as its theme, the clubhouse will also play host to a new exhibition from Thursday 12 September; Drawn to Architecture

The exhibition explores the built environment in which we live and how different artists take inspiration from it.

A century since the birth of the Bauhaus school of art, its creativity has changed art and architecture in such a significant way. The school is still influencing thoughts about the built environment in which we reside. Taking this design movement as our inspiration, our latest exhibition delves into the urban environment and contemplates how art and architecture intersect.

By focusing on works on traditional media, rather than photography, the exhibiting artists present a documentation of various architecture in a range of styles that highlight the act of recording the built environment. Through this process, there are points of the exhibition in which the works appear contradictory; with modern architecture depicted in traditional medium, offering a new perspective from which to look at structures we have seen many times before.

Exhibiting artists include: Gerry Buxton, Anne Desmet RA, Gareth Fuller, Luke Adam Hawker, Joshua Kerley, Graham Martin, Jo Peel, Daniel Speight, Mairi Timoney and Peter Wylie.

To attend the Private View from 6pm on Thursday 12 September, please RSVP here.

Don't worry if you can't make that, the exhibition will be on the walls of Over-Seas House until the beginning of December.
