For a third year running, ROSL is again welcoming RBA Rising Stars, an exhibition in partnership with the Royal Society of British Artists and The Art Society which highlights the work of specially selected talented young artists.
The work has now been installed and the finishing touches are being made ahead of the Private View on Thursday evening. Adorning the walls of the Central Lounge and Gibb's Staircase is the work of more than 40 artists, chosen from several hundred. The works began with 247 proposed young artists chosen by The Arts Society, from which the RBA selected 21 to be presented on the walls of Over-Seas House. The exhibition also includes the work of 20 semi-finalists aged 35 years or under who entered to be awarded the esteemed RBA Rome Scholarship 2019. All the artists exhibiting at ROSL are early in their careers and were selected for their exceptional works which combine the highest levels of skill, expression and draughtsmanship using a variety of medium, exploring equally varied subjects.
The 21 students selected for the RBA RISING STARS 2019 are:
Genevieve Aspinall, Robert Bowman, Tia Brown, Meg Burridge, Grace Burns, Isabel Collins, Anna Ellerbeck, Holly Gallant, Rachel Howarth, George Hunt, Nadia Jenkins, Francesca Krum, George Lees O'Neil, Amber Li, Livia Robinson, Megan Rodger, Olivia Marshall, Robert Mill, Abigail Morton, Maisy Venn, and Beth Whell.
