2018 ROSL Annual Music Gold Medalist, Jonathan Radford returned to the Princess Alexandra Hall stage for the second ROSL Rush Hour concert last night.

Jonathan Radford accompanied by pianist Eleanor Kornas wowed the audience last night with his brilliant programme, featuring some of the 20th Century's most popular composers. Jonathan's skill and enthusiasm for his instrument and repertoire is always evident in his playing and last night was no exception.

The concert featured works by Gershwin, Shostakovich, Wiedoeft and Weill, showcasing the more jazzier side of the classical saxophone repertoire, proving just how versatile a performer Jonathan is. This enjoyable programme was rounded off nicely with an arrangement of Rhapsody in Blue for piano and saxophones, which the audience enjoyed so much that they demanded an encore from the duo. Wiedoeft's Saxo-phun was his piece of choice that brought the evening to an excellent and ammusing close.
