Buxton International Festival (BIF) is taking its 40th Anniversary programme on the road and will perform at ROSL's Princess Alexandra Hall on Monday 25 March.

The hour long performance will include musical extracts from some of the 2019 Festival operas performed by soloists and BIF company members, including: Eugene Onegin (Tchaikovsky); Georgiana (various); Orpheus in the Underworld (Offenbach); and Lucio Papirio Dittatore (Caldara). Maestro Wyn Davies will accompany the singers and Adrian Chandler from La Serenissima will introduce Caldara’s opera Lucio Papirio Dittatore. You will meet Victoria Dawson, BIF's Book Programmer who will present the curiously curated 2019 Book Series. Book your tickets here.

The BIF Roadshow is the perfect place to experience opera, music and books in a friendly, fun and welcoming atmosphere, and also a great introduction to the Festival proper, which is set against the beautiful backdrop of the Peak District and runs from 5 - 21 July 2019. The Festival includes opera, guided town walks, cooking demonstrations, books, music and jazz.

As part of our ROSL on the Road series, AMC alumni Jonathan Radford saxophone and Ashley Fripp piano will be representing ROSL at the Festival on Saturday 13 July, playing a programme of Gershwin, Shostakovich, and Weill. Tickets can be booked for this concert from 1 April here
