Looking for something to keep the kids amused tomorrow? This February half term, celebrate a coming together of families and cultures as the Royal Commonwealth Society partners with Westminster Abbey for a day of Commonwealth-themed activities delivering Commonwealth Family Day on Friday 22 February. 

Running from 10am to 2pm, the day will include:

  • Traditional performances from Commonwealth countries.
  • Folk stories from around the world.
  • A family trail exploring the Abbey's links to the Commonwealth.

Performers include London's Maori Choir, and many varied forms of dance including classical Indian Kuchipudi dance, Traditional Fijian dance, Sabahan Malaysian dance and Sega dancers from Mauritius.

Sri Lankan storyteller Debbie Guneratne will also be telling world stories in Poets' Corner.
