On Wednesday night, The Consone Quartet, winners of the 2016 ROSL Annual Music Competition String Ensemble Section launched their debut album. Formed at the Royal College of Music, the Consone Quartet is dedicated to exploring Classical and Early Romantic repertoire on period instruments.
The audience was made up of ROSL members and supporters, who were treated to a short and lively programme of Mendelssohn and Haydn, the composers also feature on their album. Afterwards, the quartet mingled with members over a drink or two, and it was good to see sales of their album were brisk!
