Last night, the Princess Alexandra Hall played host to more than 120 new and prospective members as ROSL put its best foot forward to show all our organisation has to offer.

The gathered crowd were able to mingle with staff from across the organisation as Director-General Diana Owen spoke of the many benefits of memberships, including the facilities at our beautiful clubhouse, the vibrant arts programme, our commitment to education projects around the world, a varied events list, our extensive branch network, and access to more than 100 reciprocal clubs globally.

She finished her speech by introducing pianist Ashley Fripp, winner of the Keyboard section at the 2011 ROSL ARTS Annual Music Competition, who spoke warmly of ROSL's support for the arts, particularly young musicians, and the continued support he has received from the ROSL family following his success at the competition. He then treated everyone to a virtuosic performance of Chopin's Grande Polonaise Brillante, Op. 22.

With Ashley's dulcet tones still ringing in everyone's ears, the crowd were able to see out the evening over wine and nibbles from Graysons, our caterers, while finding out more about everything the club has to offer.
