Calling our Singapore members! Our Annual Music Competition supports young musicians from all over the Commonwealth, and many go on to perform internationally, giving all our members the opportunity to see them live. On 20 August, our 2017 ensemble prizewinners the B-L Piano duo will be performing an evening of contemporary music at the Esplanade Recital Studio, Singapore.
The duo are on a mission to play the creepiest, craziest music they can get their hands on. Having met and studied at the Royal College of Music in 2013, Bertram and Lynette are now back in their native Singapore and performing a concert which they describe as music that is:
volatile and erratic.
broken and unreliable.
uncompromisingly physical.
wildly and blindingly colourful.
so quiet you hear it in your fingertips.
so loud it violates your personal space.
able to make you squirm. make you sweat.
structurally labyrinthine, fiendishly complex.
brutal yet beautiful; chaotic yet inevitable.
Music that takes our capacity to understand to its limits.
Music that stares into the darkest recesses of the human psyche.
Join the B-L Piano Duo for an evening of unmissable music and the chance to see our prizewinners live. Tickets are available here.
