If you can brave the cold then January promises to be bright and bold with the reappearance of the Lumiere light festival from Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 January.
This is the second edition of the festival and will feature more than 40 UK and international artists transforming the city into a dazzling nocturnal art exhibition. The programme of exhibitions are free to visit and will take place north and south of the river Thames, the UK’s largest light festival extends its reach across the capital.
Westminster Abbey and the National Theatre are among the first landmark locations to be revealed. New artworks have also been announced in the key festival areas of King's Cross, Fitzrovia, the West End, Trafalgar Square to Victoria, and South Bank and Waterloo.
