To celebrate Canada's sesquicentennial in 2017, ROSL has put on a number of events over the past month which highlight our club's connection with the country.
The first of was our True North Sounds concert on Tuesday 3 October, which featured performances by talented young musicians from across Canada, who are all students of the Royal College of Music, playing works from some of the nation's most acclaimed composers, from Vincent Ho to Claude Vivier. Saxophonist David Zucchi tweeted the picture below of the performers on stage in the Princess Alexandra Hall.
Big thanks to everyone who played at last nights concert, and the terrific audience, and to @ROSLARTS for having us! ???? pic.twitter.com/b7tViAYtyC

Next up was a tour of Canada House on Trafalgar Square, which took place last week. Take a look at some of the photos from around the building below. Each room has been designed by artists from each of the ten provinces and three territories across the country.
Finally, on Tuesday night, our very own British Columbia Branch President Liz Murray led a tasting session of Canadian wines, featuring red, white, sparking and ice wine from Nova Scotia, British Columbia and Ontario. Take a look at the gallery below.
