ROSL Branch Secretary Ron Williamson reports on a recent visit to Government House, Melbourne.

Members of ROSL's Victorian Branch Council and a number of key supporters were invited by the Governor, HE The Hon Linda Dessau AC to Morning Tea at Government House on Tuesday 30 May 2017.  HE The Governor is the local patron and a valued supporter of ROSL. The Governor was supported by her husband, Mr Anthony Howard QC.

The Victorian Branch Council noted the honour bestowed upon us with such an event staged for ROSL's participation alone and the note of informality, warmth and humour injected into the occasion by The Governor in her address of welcome. The Governor and Mr Anthony Howard made a particular effort to meet and speak with all those in attendance. Dr Di Bresciani, OAM was invited to present, on behalf of ROSL, a signed copy of her book 'Compositions in Colour' to The Governor and Mr. Howard as a token of appreciation. The Official Secretary to the Governor, Mr Joshua Puls MVO attended later in proceedings and guests were invited to undertake a tour of Melbourne's grand and very beautiful Government House under the auspices of the House Manager, Mr Christophe Buoy.
