The Duke of York bar has entered a new age, introducing signature cocktails, fine wines and a splendid collection of spirits from around the world.
A blend of old and new, the bar combines the best of British heritage with a modern twist. We believe the signature cocktails, fine wines, and menu capture the very essence of ROSL.
Patrons have frequented this room for over 200 years as it forms part of the original Rutland House (circa 1740). The newly renovated Duke of York Bar combines comfort, style and intimacy, that has been sympathetically restored, preserving heritage and history.
The team and interior designer, Afra Affara, envisioned creating a space for members to socialise, connect and relax; three of our rust velvet back armchairs specifically designed for reading a book while overlooking Green Park.
The objective was to preserve our heritage and those special elements by reinstating a long Victorian-style bar, with labradorite granite top, to revive its original opulence, and to create impact on arrival, but most importantly creating a setting our members are comfortable and proud of.
The Duke of York bar will take you from day to night, with light snacks and small dishes designed to complement and please the palate, along with afternoon tea service and classic signature cocktails, featuring our much anticipated 'The Duke' and 'The Duchess'.
We are delighted to share with you that our bartenders had the opportunity to learn from the legendary Brian Silva, London's leading mixologist who specialises in cocktail masterclasses.
