Mick Davies President RBA, Hon RBSA delivers news of the three finalists
Welcoming in a new exhibition always promises to be a fun and inspiring occasion and Tuesday night's private view drinks reception for RBA RISING STARS proved to be a highlight of our Spring events calendar. With 250+ art enthusiasts in attendance, Mick Davies President RBA, Hon RBSA gave a rousing speech about our collaborative partnership with Royal Society of British Artists in supporting young talent under 35 years of age since 2017 with the annual exhibition RBA RISING STARS. The 40 artists shortlisted for the RBA Rome Scholarship are on display in the Central Lounge of ROSL Clubhouse, London until 2 July.
During the event the three finalists were announced as Joshua Donkor, Aelfred Hillman and Aniela Preston for the strength of their work judged at the exhibition. They will proceed to an interview where the selected winner will receive a one-month residency at Sala Uno, an international arts centre in the heart of Rome.
The exhibition page with images from the installation can be found here.
