The Coronation is a celebration of over 1000 years of British culture and history. We will indeed celebrate in style serving our own Coronation afternoon tea menu throughout this special bank holiday weekend. Bunting will be plentiful, flags will fly and homemade scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam shall be served. There surely is no better location than ROSL to the enjoy this historic occasion, a weekend filled with British traditions, pomp and pageantry.

We invite you to join us between the 5th and 8th May where tea shall be served in the Garden (the sun will indeed shine), featuring a delicious array of savouries and sweets, a splendid assortment of teas, and of course the optional glass of fizz.

The Ceremony and processions will be shown live on screens across the clubhouse. The Coronation service begins at 11.00am on Saturday 6th May, King Charles will become the 40th reigning monarch.

Their Majesties The King and The Queen Consort will arrive at Westminster Abbey in procession from Buckingham Palace, known as ‘The King’s Procession’. After the Service, Their Majesties will return to Buckingham Palace in a larger ceremonial procession, known as ‘The Coronation Procession’. Their Majesties will be joined in this procession by other Members of the Royal Family.

At Buckingham Palace, The King and The Queen Consort, accompanied by Members of the Royal Family, will appear on the balcony to conclude the day’s ceremonial events.

On Sunday, 7th May a special Coronation Concert will take place at Windsor Castle. Produced, staged and broadcast live by the BBC, the Coronation Concert will bring global music icons and contemporary stars together in celebration of the historic occasion. This will be live screened across the clubhouse.

The 1910 Dining Room will be open for breakfast for those members wishing to stay inhouse, reservations can be made by clicking here. Lunch service will start at an earlier time of 11am, served in the Garden and Brabourne Room.

 

Our Coronation Afternoon Tea Special will be served daily (5th - 8th May) with two sittings available:

2.30pm - 4.00pm

4.30pm - 6.00pm

 

Screening of the Coronation and Concert will take place in the following areas:

  • Garden
  • Brabourne
  • Dining Room
  • Duke of York Bar
  • Drawing Room (for members staying inhouse)

 

The lunch service for the Brabourne Room will start from 11am on 6th May.

 

The Duke of York bar will be open:

Friday 5th May 10.30am - 4pm, coffee service, 12.00 – 9pm

Saturday 6th - Monday 8th May, 9.30am – 4pm, coffee service, 11.00 – 9pm

Please note that bookings for all dining menus are essential across this celebratory weekend.
