In partnership with the Printmakers Council, ROSL is launching its latest exhibition on Thursday, Ecologies of Change.
This group exhibition is a collective artist vision of the impact and consequences of human activity on Earth's ecosystems. The project brings together Australian and British artists who share an ethics of care to create images recognising the way we are responsible for altering the planet. These changes include global warming, habitat loss, changes in the chemical composition of the atmosphere, oceans and soil, and animal extinctions.
Being held as part of the UK/Australia Season, this exhibition joins other artistic endeavours across film, theatre, dance, design, architecture, and many more, across both countries. The UK/Australia Season is a major new cultural exchange between Australia and the United Kingdom celebrating the diverse and innovative artist communities and cultural sectors of each nation. The Season is a joint initiative by the British Council and the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
If you've visited the clubhouse over the last few days, you may have spotted ROSL ARTS Coodinator Robin Footitt hard at work installing the new works. The Private View takes place on Thursday from 6 'til 8pm. RSVP here. Don't worry if you can't make it, the exhibition will be on display until 28 November 2021.
