The ROSL Trust has made a donation of £5,000 to the Kenya Society's COVID-19 Appeal which works with Rotary in Kenya to combat the effects of COVID-19 through their newly established Girish Ravel Fund.

This and other donations from Kenya Society members was symbolically handed over at a ceremony in Nairobi in June.

All the money raised will be distributed by Rotary District 9212 to projects throughout the country to provide water stations for handwashing, food hampers for impoverished families, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as latex gloves and masks.

Patrick Orr, Chairman of the Kenya Society, which many ROSL members know well from the Society's meetings and events held at the clubhouse, said, "I am very grateful for this generous response  and would particularly like to acknowledge the donation from the ROSL Trust. My thanks also go to Waithiegeni Kanguru-Esipisu, for agreeing to be Patron of the Girish Raval Fund, and to my Deputy Chairman, Juvenal Shiundu, for representing us so well in Nairobi".
