Throughout its distinguished history of support for outstanding young musicians and visual artists from the UK and Commonwealth, donations and legacies principally from ROSL members have played a crucial role in sustaining the vitality of the ROSL Annual Music Competition and arts scholarships. Donations and legacies have enabled ROSL to transform the concert room at Over-Seas House, London into a first class chamber music venue, purchase a new Steinway concert grand piano and secure endowment for the main awards in the ROSL Annual Music Competition.

The ROSL Foundation (Charity No.306095) continues to grow thanks to the continued generosity of ROSL supporters who donate and remember ROSL in their will. Giving a donation

ROSL welcomes donations of any size to enable the continued growth of ROSL ARTS, helping early career creatives to connect, collaborate and create. Donation funds can be collected online, over the phone, call 020 7408 0214 x 231/219 or via cheque addressed to "The ROSL Foundation" and posted to Royal Over-Seas League, Over-Seas House, Park Place, St James's Street, London, SW1A 1LR, United Kingdom.

Making a bequest

Making a bequest to the ROSL Foundation is a wonderful way to continue this tradition of support. It's simple to include a legacy to ROSL in your will, and gifts can be a specified sum of money, a proportion of your residual estate or more specific items of your property. Making a bequest to a charity such as ROSL Foundation can now be an effective way to reduce your inheritance tax, and the charity in turn is exempt from inheritance tax.

Gifts in Memoriam

Some members have given money, or made a bequest in memory of a family member or close friend, for a ROSL Music Competition prize or scholarship dedicated to a particular instrumental or vocal discipline, or for a musician from a specific Commonwealth country.
