ROSL ARTS and BEARSPACE are pleased to present an exhibition of emerging artists work examining the theme of finding home.
Private View, Thursday 14 September
Exhibition Runs, September 2017 – January 2018
Home and travel are two key elements in our lifestyle, seeking a strong identity in our residing environment whilst craving the excitement and experience that adventure and escapism bring. The upcoming exhibition is an interpretation of the experience of the members’ club in which it sits, an exhibition that explores the idea of a ‘home from home,’ as being a member is to belong away from your main place of residence. The selection of Artists explore the theme of home through displacement and the making of identity through habitat, while investigating whether home is a notion or a location.
BEARSPACE and ROSL ARTS have selected artists who reflect ROSL’s ethos of creating an international home from home in the heart of St James & Edinburgh.
Established in 2003, BEARSPACE is a pioneering art space in London exhibiting award-winning emerging artists who push the boundaries of contemporary art practice. Artists are selected for their response to contemporary culture and philosophy. BEARSPACE prides itself on discovering exceptional artists early on in their careers, our artists have gone on to show regularly at the prestigious Royal Academy of Arts, Saatchi Gallery and feature in many important collections in the UK and internationally.
