ROSL marked the 400th anniversary of the death of the Bard with a fascinating panel discussion between four leading Shakespearean academics and actors: Michael Dobson (Director of the Shakespeare Institute), Nick Asbury (RSC alumnus), Farah Karim Cooper (Head of Research and Education at Shakespeare's Globe) and Gordon McMullan (Director of the London Shakespeare Centre). The conversation touched on British history and identity, the revolutionary power of Shakespeare's language and the subversive nature of his plays; as relevant today as they were in Elizabethan England.
