I have always worked in hospitality, in every job from a kitchen porter, to night reception, mainly for big hotel chains but I have worked in everything from a backpackers hostel to a 5-star Central London hotel.

I came to the UK from New Zealand ten years ago, starting at ROSL in September last year, my first job at a club and I love it compared to the hotel industry. You can see that the members care more about the place than hotel guests do and the history of the club is amazing.

My job role covers anything from taking room bookings, running the day to day operations of the reservations desk and porters/concierge, to planning visits from ROSL branch groups, helping with luggage and dealing with accounts. Everything and anything could fall on my desk, which is what I love about the job. Everyday there is something new and exciting.

Away from work my favourite things to do are music concerts and festivals, with the quality and diversity of what's on offer in the UK being second to none. I also love to travel; there is no privilege better than having the opportunity to travel and explore new countries' languages, the sights and smells of visiting places you have never been can make truly wonderful memories.

When you visit the clubhouse on your travels, I'm sure you'll see me at reception. If you want to reserve a room, please just call on +44 (0)20 7408 0214 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
