From the Archives: Our Sovereign Lady

In the June 1985 edition of Overseas, then-Vice-Chairman Godfrey Talbot LVO OBE, penned an article for the journal in which he recollected his relationship with our Patron, HM The Queen, over the years. It's heartening to see that, some 34 years later, many of his opinions on her still ring true today.

There is a very special value in the insights we gain through the Commonwealth connection; shared inheritances help us overcome difference so that diversity is a cause for celebration rather than division.

ROSL Celebrates the Royal Wedding

It was clear that our members wanted to join in the celebrations on Saturday, with people from all over the world coming together at the clubhouse to enjoy the festivities. Such was the demand that we ran three separate events throughout the building, to make sure everyone had the opportunity to be a part of the special day.
