Royal Over-Seas League re-launches its British Columbia Chapter.

Sir John Daniel, President and CEO of the Vancouver based Commonwealth of Learning, has succeeded the late Royce Frith, former Canadian High Commissioner to the UK, as Chairman of the Royal Over-Seas League's British Columbia Chapter. Mrs Pamela Ducommun has been appointed its President.

A reception to re-launch the Chapter will be held at the Terminal City Club on 16th October and it will be attended by the League's Director-General from London, Robert Newell.

The Royal Over-Seas League is a non-profit making Commonwealth non-governmental membership association incorporated by Royal Charter with The Queen as its Patron and Princess Alexandra its Vice-Patron. It has splendid clubhouses in London, with 80 luxurious bedrooms, and in Edinburgh, with 17 bedrooms and over 80 reciprocal clubs around the world including five in Canada. Membership rates and bedroom tariffs, at the wonderfully located clubhouses, are modest and world wide membership is presently just over 20,000.

For more information contact the League at info@rosl.org.uk or at Over-Seas House, Park Place, London SW1A 1LR, or by phone on 020 740 0214 ext. 204.
