2012 is a landmark year as the competition celebrates it Diamond Jubilee. Hundreds of young musicians will converge at Over-Seas House in February and March to compete for the four solo section awards of £5,000 (for Wind and Percussion, Singers, Strings and Keyboard) two Ensenble awards of £10,000, accompanist award of £5,000 and prizes for musicians from overseas.

The section finals are open to the public and are an ideal way to hear some of the most gifted young classical musicians at the beginning of their professional careers.
